The 2012 Tee Up For Kids Charity Golf day was held at the Riversdale Golf Club on Tuesday 28th February and proved to be another very successful event for the Foundation. Despite persistent rain overnight and wet conditions for the start, the day cleared to be sunny and the Riversdale course was in great condition and provided a challenging track to the 67 golfers who participated on the day.

The post-match luncheon was equally rewarding for all in attendance with addresses from the Foundations honorary advisor Bernie Geary and guest speaker Athol Guy, Seeker and former Victorian Parliamentarian, who were followed by an interview Shane Perkins, World Keirin Cycling Champion. All speakers emphasised the importance to promote the safety and wellbeing of children who are living in care in Victoria, especially assisting with their integration into community and the realisation of identity.

The Open Auction was again managed by Steve Burke (Jellis Craig Real Estate) and it provided many enticing and exciting items, and it is through the generous support of our sponsors and the golfers on the day that the Foundation was able to raise nearly $24,000 on the day that will go a long way to facilitate our programs of community integration, wellbeing, education and career.

Finally the Tee Up For Kids Foundation wishes to thank the generous sponsors, all the players and companies who supported this annual event, which continues to provide much needed charity funding and as well as facilitating a great social networking day.
